WHO ARE WE?

Friendship Church is a family church with a world mission.  Our goal is simple - "to love Jesus with all our heart, to live like we mean it, and to persuade as many people as possible to join us on this journey of faith."

About Us

Rich or poor, young or old, white, black, brown, red or yellow, we would love to have you join us as our special guest this week, and we hope that you'll enjoy the service and return again and again, week after week! We will always do our best, with God’s help, to love you, accept you, believe the best in you, support and strengthen you, and build you up in Christ to reach your full potential in the Lord. If you have any questions, comments, or if you need prayer, counseling or help of any kind please do not hesitate to call us or ask any of our church leaders – we’ll be happy to do all we can to help you!

Our Vision

OUR VISION is to love the Lord Jesus and obey the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

In the Great Commandment, Jesus said to "love one another, as I have loved you".

In the Great Commission, Jesus said to "go into all the world and make disciples, teaching them to obey all things that I have commanded you."

Five Stepping Stones

After much prayer, study and thought, we decided that Jesus' teachings will lead us to prioritize 5 stepping stones on the way to hitting the bulls-eye.

  1. Friendship: learning to love ourselves and love one another. We ask the question "Where Do I Fit?"
  2. Discipleship: learning to become more and more like Jesus. We ask the question "What Can I Become?"
  3. Worship: learning to love the Lord with all our hearts. We ask the question "Who Do I Adore?"
  4. Ministry: learning to truly love and serve our neighbors. We ask the question "How Can I Help?"
  5. Evangelism: learning to tell the world the Good News about Jesus. We ask the question "Who Can I Reach?"

PS - an easy way to remember the vision is to have a "Fun Day With ME".

Our Beliefs

Jesus Christ - We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the only-begotten Son of God, God in the flesh, perfect, sinless, the Savior of every one who believes in Him and personally receives Him as his or her Savior and Lord by faith. “By grace are ye saved through faith.” Jesus lives forever in heaven, and He also lives in us. We love Him and adore Him. (John 1:18; 2 Cor 5:21; Eph 2:8,9; Rom 10:9,10)

God the Father - We believe that God is our heavenly Father and our friend, that He loves us and desires to bless us with long life, health, peace, joy and prosperity. Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down our heavenly Father, who knows us and cares about us. He hears and answers our prayers when we pray in faith to Him in the name of Jesus according to His Word. (3 John 2; 2 Peter 5:7; James 1:17; Matt 7:7; 21:22; 1 John 5:14)

The Holy Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will come to live within us and express God’s nature and His divine power through us – both the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. (Gal 5:22; 1 Cor 12-14)

The Bible - We believe that the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. It was written by holy men under the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit. God’s words are absolutely true, and we accept them by faith. We must not add to them nor take away from them. The Scriptures cannot be broken and they will never fail. (Prov 30:5,6; 2 Tim 3:16; Matt 24:35)

The Sin Problem And God’s Solution - We believe that God is holy, and that He requires that we be holy. God is also merciful and forgives our sins . We believe that Jesus Christ redeemed us from the curse associated with breaking God’s law by hanging on the cross and becoming a curse for us so that we could be made right in God's sight and receive the blessing of God. (2 Tim 2:19; 1 Peter 1:15,16; 1 John 1:8,9; John 14:23; John 3:16)
