Friendship Church’s founding pastor and his wife, Rev/Mrs Warren and Julie Cook, have served in the ministry for more than 30 years. Pastor Cook found Jesus and was saved in 1975 and soon thereafter attended Christ For The Nations in Dallas, Texas, where he met and married his wife, Julie.
Pastor Warren Cook later earned a BA in Biblical Literature and Theology from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa and an MBA from UTSA. He served as a traveling evangelist/teacher and later as the senior pastor of a non-denominational church in Michigan, where they saw more than 1,000 people saved in the last 3 years. In 1988 the Lord spoke to Pastor Cook with an audible voice and supernaturally called him to San Antonio, TX where he served at a “mega-church” for 18 years in various capacities including ... singles pastor, home Bible study fellowship area director, church elder, executive board member, and occasional guest preacher; he oversaw more than 40 Bible study groups and for 7 years taught a weekly adult Sunday School class that grew to roughly 700 people. Pastor Warren and Julie love Jesus, and they love life, fun, and friends. They have 4 beautiful, grown children (Christy, Kenny and Caleb – twin sons, and David). Three are married, and it's just a matter of time for #4! They have two beautiful grandsons - Jackson and Carson and one more on the way! They have worked as executive recruiters for the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and owned and managed their own recruiting company, Executive Source International, for over 25 years. Pastor Warren and Julie founded Friendship Church in January, 2007 with a handful of friends and well-wishers, and they praise God for the beautiful church it has become and can hardly wait to see what Jesus does at Friendship Church in the coming months and years!
